A study of how the mobile phone is incorporated into relations between husbands and wives, children and parents, peers, and neighbors in Uganda and Ghana. This project looks at the mobile phone as a gift, as a device for transferring money, and as a shared community resource. How are the benefits of mobile phone access distributed according to a cultural logic of rights and responsibilities?
