Bob joined NAVTEQ from Rand McNally & Co. where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Solutions, responsible for a broad range of B to B applications and consumer technology products and services. Prior to joining Rand McNally, Bob was Vice President of Motorola’s Consumer Telematics Products, a division he launched after five years heading the company’s GPS business. The unit introduced the first Telematics systems for the automotive industry. Earlier in his career, Bob built Trimble Navigation’s Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking business and was co-founder of TAU Corporation, a software products company that produced the first commercial differential GPS systems. He started his career in the United States Air Force with his last assignment in research and development at the GPS Joint Program Office. Denaro holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the USAF Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He received his B.S. in Astronautics from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is currently a Management Board Member of the European ADASIS Forum, Vice Chairman of the US DOT ITS Program Advisory Committee and he is conducting mapping studies for the National Research Council Mapping Sciences Committee. | |

He turned Jentro from a small phone application development company into an international platform provider for Location Based Services by winning major accounts such as ADAC, Motorola, Magellan, Mitac and Carphone Warehouse. Hans-Hendrik established innovative business models in the industry, such as the first purely advertising-based navigation system (“Ö-Navi”). Under his leadership, Jentro became one of the leading location based content distribution platforms in the mobile phone space, by integrating key players in local search, traffic information, weather, parking, events, m-commerce, etc. Prior to Jentro, Hans-Hendrik was a managing partner in a boutique consulting firm, specializing on mobile telecommunications and navigation (PND and in-car). From 1999-2002, he had been the Founder-CEO of optimad.com, a London based start-up offering a media transaction platform for TV stations and Out-of-Home advertising, which has been managing e.g. more than 80% of UK TV bookings and is now part of IMDB Group. Prior to optimad, Hans-Hendrik ran Electronic Media for Handelsblatt Group, where he launched the first commercial online content syndication as well as the first mobile content services (wap) in Germany.
