  Leading NAVTEQ’s initiative in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Bob is responsible for building this market and business for the company, applying digital maps to automotive driver assistance, active safety, fuel economy and usage-based charging systems to enhance their performance and acceptability to drivers.

Bob joined NAVTEQ from Rand McNally & Co. where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Solutions, responsible for a broad range of B to B applications and consumer technology products and services.

Prior to joining Rand McNally, Bob was Vice President of Motorola’s Consumer Telematics Products, a division he launched after five years heading the company’s GPS business. The unit introduced the first Telematics systems for the automotive industry.

Earlier in his career, Bob built Trimble Navigation’s Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking business and was co-founder of TAU Corporation, a software products company that produced the first commercial differential GPS systems. He started his career in the United States Air Force with his last assignment in research and development at the GPS Joint Program Office.

Denaro holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the USAF Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.  He received his B.S. in Astronautics from the U.S. Air Force Academy.  He is currently a Management Board Member of the European ADASIS Forum, Vice Chairman of the US DOT ITS Program Advisory Committee and he is conducting mapping studies for the National Research Council Mapping Sciences Committee.

Prior to joining T-Labs he was a member of the T-Systems global automotive team and acted as strategic portfolio elements manager Car ICT steering the further development of the business area Internet and online services for vehicles. I have built a sizeable team to support our European customers and this team has taken on significant Engineering development in partnership with our Engineering teams in Japan. In 2007 I handed over responsibility for the ITS product engineering team when I was given responsibility for a new European ITS R&D team.

  Tom Metzger is senior vice president and general manager of Cross Country Automotive Services’ ATX Connected Vehicle Services business. He has oversight for all client side Sales, Account Management, Product and Program Management, Automotive Systems Integration and Customer Solutions, as well as European strategy.

Metzger joined ATX in May 2009 as senior vice president of Sales & Account Management following a distinguished 24-year career at Harman Becker Automotive Systems, the automotive division of Harman International, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, high fidelity audio/video products and systems, for the professional, consumer and automotive markets.

As vice president of Harman Becker’s Asia Pacific business unit, Metzger established its foothold into Asia and created its regional business unit and supporting operations. He managed all aspects of business planning and implementation, and also developed global business and strategic brand partnerships with major Japan- and Korea-based automotive OEM customers, providing local sales, marketing and technical support.

  Dr. Hans-Hendrik Puvogel is the Managing Director of INRIX Europe GmbH. Prior to joining INRIX in 2008, Hans was the CEO of Jentro Technologies (Munich). He turned Jentro from a small phone application development company into an international platform provider for Location Based Services by winning major accounts such as ADAC, Motorola, Magellan, Mitac and Carphone Warehouse. Hans-Hendrik established innovative business models in the industry, such as the first purely advertising-based navigation system (“Ö-Navi”). Under his leadership, Jentro became one of the leading location based content distribution platforms in the mobile phone space, by integrating key players in local search, traffic information, weather, parking, events, m-commerce, etc.

Prior to Jentro, Hans-Hendrik was a managing partner in a boutique consulting firm, specializing on mobile telecommunications and navigation (PND and in-car). From 1999-2002, he had been the Founder-CEO of optimad.com, a London based start-up offering a media transaction platform for TV stations and Out-of-Home advertising, which has been managing e.g. more than 80% of UK TV bookings and is now part of IMDB Group. Prior to optimad, Hans-Hendrik ran Electronic Media for Handelsblatt Group, where he launched the first commercial online content syndication as well as the first mobile content services (wap) in Germany. He had joined Handelsblatt Group coming from Bertelsmann AG, where he was a senior project manager in Corporate Development, responsible for projects in online, TV and e-commerce.

Hans-Hendrik holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Tübingen as well as degrees from the University of Tübingen, Universidad de Salamanca and Sciences Po Paris (IEP de Paris). He speaks five European languages and has worked in the UK, France, Italy and Germany.

Julián Requejo received two B.Sc. degrees in computer and electrical engineering in 1999, and his M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 2001, from University of Maryland, College Park. His thesis and early work focused on the fields of embedded software and real-time operating systems. In 2001, he joined the Alternative Powertrains group at the Ford Research Center in Aachen, Germany, where he developed control software for microhybrids and other prototype vehicles. Since 2005, he has been working for the Telematics and Navigation team in the development of software for map-based applications. He is also part of the ADASISv2 core development group, and has been involved in the development of the standard and reference implementation.

  Since July 2010, Floris van de Klashort has led automotive initiatives within Nokia’s services organisation, responsible for automotive product development and business development.

Floris joined Nokia in 2000, leading sales and consulting activities across Western Europe. From early 2005 to mid 2009, he was based in New York, most recently heading the Nokia Media Network working with hundreds of publishers worldwide, before which he developed the Nokia Music Service Strategy and Business Development.

Prior to joining Nokia, Floris managed his own telecom and Internet consultancy firm with a focus on communication and ecommerce services for the events and telecom industry. His other experience includes roles at Ericsson working on the emergence of mobile networks and telecommunications and before that managing international consortia for the development of space systems working with Nasa and European Space Agency Programs.

Floris holds a University degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delft with specializations in Man Machine Interfaces, Robotics and Business.

Floris is based in the Netherlands. When not at work, he enjoys sailing and other outdoors activities
